Badlands NGL LLC, a California startup that plans to move its headquarters to Denver, has proposed building a $4 billion plastic manufacturing plant in North Dakota, which could help Colorado-based oil and gas companies working in the booming Bakken field deal with excess natural gas.
North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple announced the project Monday at a news conference with William Jeffrey Gilliam, CEO of Badlands.
