Vestas Wind Systems has picked up another order from Duke Energy's renewable energy arm to build wind turbines for a Texas wind farm.
Vestas, based in Denmark with four Colorado manufacturing plants, on Tuesday said it had landed a “firm and unconditional order” for 55 of its V110-2.0 MW wind turbines, collectively capable of generating a total of 110 megawatts of power.
The order is from Duke Energy Renewables for its Duke Los Vientos V wind farm in Texas.
