Vestas Wind Systems, the Danish wind turbine maker with four manufacturing plants in Colorado, ranked No. 1 in the world for new turbines installed during 2014, according to research and consulting firm GlobalData.
Each megawatt of wind power can support the electricity demands of about 300 homes.
