Oil and gas drilling rigs could be working on and around the Roan Plateau in Western Colorado in two to four years following an agreement to settle a long-running legal battle, unveiled Friday.
The settlement — which the Denver Business Journal reported was in the works in October— was announced in a news conference at the Colorado Capitol attended by Gov. John Hickenlooper, U.S. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell and other federal and state officials.
