The 2013 deaths of two silver miners at the Revenue Mine in Ouray has led to a fine of more than $1 million by the U.S. Department of Labor's Mine, Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
The underground silver mine was operated by Star Mine Operations LLC at the time of the deaths on Nov. 17, 2013.
On Oct. 1, 2014, the mine was sold to Fortune Minerals Ltd., a mining company based in London, Ontario, Canada.
