The Regional Transportation District's Board of Directors has adopted the recommendations of the Northwest Area Mobility Study to make building a bus system to serve Denver's northwestern suburbs a priority.
The board said it remains committed to the idea of building a rail line from Westminster to Boulder and Longmont. But, given the expense of building such a project and how long it would take to raise that kind of money, a "bus rapid transit" (BRT) system should become the first priority.
