Gov. John Hickenlooper has named Jerre Stead, the executive chairman of IHS Inc., to be Colorado’s Chief Recovery Officer in charge of coordinating the state’s recovery from the massive flood damage.
And the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is fielding five repair teams in hopes of reconnecting communities cut off by the floodwaters, by Dec. 1, Hickenlooper said.
“We are in a race against winter,” he said. “We are doing what we can by Dec. 1.”
