Vestas Wind Systems has reached a deal to supply up to 750 megawatts' worth of wind turbines to EDF Renewable Energy, the North American renewable energy arm of French power company Electricite de France SA.
The Danish wind turbine manufacturer on Friday also announced its first order from EDF is for 80 megawatts worth of its V100-2.0 megawatt model turbines.
Vestas’ factories in Colorado will be involved in manufacturing blades, nacelles and towers for these projects, the company said.
