Whiting Petroleum Corp. today announced it will spend $260 million to buy oil and gas wells and about 17,282 net acres of mineral rights in the Williston basin of North Dakota and Montana.
The wells, purchased from an unidentified private party, are located in the North Dakota's Williams and McKenzie counties and Montana’s Richland county.
