The U.S. Department of the Interior supported 2.3 million jobs and contributed $371 billion to the U.S. economy in 2012 through its operations, from energy development to national parks visits, including 60,600 jobs and a $10.5 billion impact in Colorado, according to a new report.
The department’s work supported 17,823,508 recreation trips in the state, according to the report, issued Monday and available here.
