For the third consecutive year, the number of tolls drivers paid to drive E-470 rose, the E-470 Public Highway Authority said Thursday.
The number of transactions — the number of times a driver paid a toll — rose 3.6 percent in 2012 to 54 million, up from 52.1 million in 2011, the authority said.
Revenue rose 8.4 percent to $116.7 million in 2012 due to the increased traffic plus a toll increase during the year. Money from late fees dropped 8.8 percent to $3.3 million, the authority said.
