Coloradans now have a way to compare the cost to fuel their vehicles whether they run on gasoline, diesel — or electricity — under a program unveiled today. The U.S. Department of Energy has launched eGallon, a way to compare the cost of using electricity with gasoline. In Colorado, the eGallon price is about $1.12, meaning that the typical electric vehicle can travel as far on $1.12 worth of electricity as a similar vehicle could travel on a gallon of gasoline, the DOE announced.
