Colorado’s oil and gas officials on Tuesday approved a set of rules that significantly expand the state’s oversight of oil and gas pipelines in the wake of the fatal Firestone tragedy in April 2017.
The new rules come after months of deliberations, are part of the state and industry’s response to the tragedy, and once again push Colorado to the forefront of oil and gas regulation nationwide.
