The Fort Collins City Council has granted initial approval to a ban on hydraulic fracturing operations within the city limits, but the head of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA) said Wednesday she hopes the council will reverse its position at its final vote on March 5.
Tuesday’s council vote for the ban was 5-2.
Council members also voted 5-2 in favor of a resolution supporting the city of Longmont in its lawsuit with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
